CHICAGO (AP) — Security screeners at Chicago’s Midway International Airport have discovered a loaded .40 caliber handgun in a passenger’s carry-on bag.
The Transportation Security Administration says officers found the loaded .Glock 22 in a 36-year-old man’s bag when it went through an X-ray machine Wednesday at a security checkpoint.
Chicago police say the man was charged with one misdemeanor count of carrying a concealed firearm at an airport.
The TSA says it was the 13th firearm found at Midway so far this year, compared with six for all of last year.
