SALEM — Waunita K. Cohlmeyer, 74, of Salem, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
She was born on May 11, 1941 the daughter of Walter B. Sanders and Wanda (Farthing) Panzau in Centralia. She married Jack M. Cohlmeyer on September 5, 1959 in Irvington.
Survivors include her husband Jack Cohlmeyer of Salem; son James Cohlmeyer and wife Nancy of Rockford; daughter Donna J. Cohlmeyer of Kell; grandchildren Brandy Vaupel and husband John, Richard Cohlmeyer and wife Lenore, April Cohlmeyer and Baylee Cohlmeyer; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; mother Wanda Panzau of Odin; brothers Robert Redman and wife Lisa of Central City and Frank Redman and wife Debbie of Odin; sisters Nancy Tate and husband Steve of Centralia, Penny Sprehe and husband Gary of Centralia and Brenda Redman of Odin; and several nieces and nephews.
Waunita was preceded in death by her father Walter B. Sanders.
Mrs. Cohlmeyer was a homemaker. She loved dogs and shopping. Waunita took good care of her family.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Deadmond Cemetery in Sandoval.
