Fisherman found dead in Carlyle Lake identified

CLINTON COUNTY — The 55-year-old fisherman found dead in Carlyle Lake Wednesday has been identified as Michael Ziemba of Boulder.

According to the Clinton County Coroner’s Office, Ziemba was found floating in brush in a wooded area of the lake Wednesday, approximately 75 yards from where he’d put his fishing boat in the water Tuesday.

Coroner Mark Moss pronounced Ziemba dead at the scene. Multiple agencies had been searching for Ziemba after he was reported missing just before midnight Tuesday. His body was found just after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday about 15 to 20 feet from the bank, in about four-feet of water.
