WASHINGTON COUNTY — The Washington County Sheriff’s Department has been investigating a few incidents in the Venedy area.

Sheriff Danny Bradac reports that they began an investigation into several burglaries towards the end of last month and were able to obtain search warrants.

Mark S. Godbey, 35, of Venedy was searched on 2 occasions and multiple stolen items were located. He was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Burglary to a Motor Vehicle, but additional charges are pending.

Bail for Godbey has been set at $40,000. They also had another investigation going and found 9 marijuana plants. Charges are likely to be announced soon.
