CENTRALIA — Thomas Douglas Lytle, 55, of Centralia, passed away Friday, July 10, 2015 at St. Louis University. He was born the son of Odell and Vera Mae (Young) Lytle.
Survivors include his mother Vera Lytle of Centralia; brothers Delmore “Slug” Lytle and wife Luberta of Centralia, George Lee Bond of Spokane, Washington; two sisters Gail Lynn Spearman and husband Damon of Denver, Colo., and Natalie Carr and husband Derrick of Centralia; special aunts Frances Lawson and Wylean Campbell all of Centralia; uncle Wendell Sylvester Lytle and wife Norma of Centralia; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Odell Lytle; grandfathers Thomas Young and Carl Lytle; grandmothers Annabell Young, Martha Young, and Beatrice Lytle; brother Jeffery Don Lytle; sister Karen Sue Lytle; aunts Dorothy Mae Young, Earnestine Dunawy, Gloria Nelson, Rosa Fly, Lelia Hill, Betty Harris, and Barbara Young; and uncles Orlando Young, Anvil Nelson Sr., William Campbell Sr., Elmer Harris, Tony Dunawy, Carl Lytle, Phillip Lytle, and Kenneth McBride.
Mr. Lytle was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Centralia. He enjoyed working puzzles, fishing, reading his Bible, listening to Blues music, and socializing with family and friends.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the Second Baptist Church in Centralia with Rev. Isaac D. Parker officiating. Burial with follow at Elmwood Cemetery with Centralia VFW Post 2055 and American Legion Post 446 performing military graveside rites.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the family wishes.
