CLINTON COUNTY — Two Clinton County men remain in the Clinton County Jail today; charged with multiple meth-related felonies.
Police arrested 28-year-old Jarrod Goetter, and 26-year-old Ryan Haller, have each been formally charged with three Class X felonies, one for aggravated manufacture of methamphetamine with a child under the age of 15 present, one for manufacturing between 400 and 900 grams of meth, and one for possession of between 400 and 900 grams of meth.
They are also each charged with Class 1 felony manufacture of less than 15 grams of meth, and two Class 2 felonies for possession of meth manufacturing material and meth-related child endangerment.
Trenton police and Clinton County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a suspected methamphetamine cook in Trenton. While speaking with the occupants of the residence, deputies reported a strong chemical odor coming from inside.
A search warrant was executed and the Illinois State Police located an alleged meth lab in the basement of the home.
Bail has been set at $100,000 each for Goetter and Haller. They were both appointed public defenders and are next due in court July 29.
