EFFINGHAM COUNTY — A 28-year-old Centralia man has been sentenced in Effingham County Court to 6-years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, after he pleaded guilty to felony possession, receiving and selling stolen vehicles.

Travis Maxfield will serve his sentence concurrently with a federal sentence. He is still facing similar charges in Fayette County, along with theft charges in Washington County and aggravated battery charges in Clinton County.

Maxfield has been transferred from the Effingham County Jail to the jail in Fayette County to face the charges against him in that county.
