MOUNT VERNON — The City of Mt Vernon will start road construction on North 42nd Street between Victoria Avenue and Richview Road the week of August 3rd.

Motorists should expect daytime road closures beginning Tuesday August 4th. Details of when the full road closure occurs will be sent when more information is known.

Motorists are encouraged to use Shiloh Drive or North 27th Street as alternate routes during road closures. Properties along North 42nd will be accessible from either north or south at all times.
