WILLIAMSON COUNTY — A former Williamson County veterinarian was in court on Monday, and pleaded not guilty to the charges against her.

Elisa Kirkpatrick was in court alongside her attorney for her preliminary hearing on charges she operated on animals inside her Creal Springs home while failing to inform their owners that she had lost her vet license back in December.

Testimony Monday regarding the conditions inside Kirkpatrick’s home described it as covered in feces with pieces of removed body parts on the floor that surrounded the kitchen island where she admitted to performing surgery on a dog that later died.

Kirkpatrick’s attorney argued the dog had underlining health issues, which were not taken into account by another vet who saw the dog after it was removed from Kirkpatrick’s home.

Kirkpatrick’s attorney said his client will request a jury trial
