CLINTON COUNTY — The Illinois Department of Transportation is alerting motorists that starting Wednesday, August 19, 2015, lane closures will be in place at the intersection of U.S. 50 and Illinois 127 in Carlyle.

The closures should occur daily between approximately 6 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. The work is required to perform pavement repairs. The traffic signals will be on flash with flaggers directing traffic through the intersection. The work is expected to be completed by August 31, weather permitting.

Delays are expected, and IDOT advises motorists to follow all construction signs and drive with caution through the work zones.

Howell Paving of Salem is the contractor on the project.
