The call came in around 9:52 p.m., and police responded to an area they are describing as between Martin Luther King Drive and Cormick Street.

We’ll bring you more details as they’re made available. This shooting comes just days after a daylight shootout on the city’s south side.

On Friday morning police responded to reports of shots fired at Sixth and South Poplar. Police report multiple people were shooting at each other from locations near Sixth and Poplar and Sixth and Elm.

That shootout was reported shortly after an armed robbery was reported at the Nifty Swifty gas station on the city’s west side. No arrests have been reported in any of those incidents.
