Kinmundy father and son arrested for growing pot

MARION COUNTY — A 52-year-old Kinmundy father and his 20-year-old son are both facing charges in Marion County for an allegedly growing marijuana.

Tyler West was arrested Saturday, while his father Wally West had already been arrested August 12 for alleged criminal drug conspiracy and fleeing and attempting to elude police.

Following up on information they received about the father and son growing marijuana, deputies on Wednesday reportedly located 13 plants in containers, with another nine plants located later in the same rural area outside Kinmundy.

Both men remain in the Marion County Jail awaiting the formal filing of charges and setting of bail.
