CLINTON COUNTY — A 26-year-old Centralia man is in the Clinton County Jail, arrested in connection with an early Tuesday morning break-in at a retail store in Centralia’s Fairview Shopping Center.

Darrel Nangle, who was identified in comments on our WRXX Facebook page Tuesday afternoon, was also identified in surveillance footage taken at the GameBlast store.

The video shows around 1:12 a.m. Tuesday, a cinder block being thrown through the front window of the store, with a subject now identified as Nangle entering the store and leaving with several gaming systems, along with approximately 300 games. Police say all the stolen merchandise has been recovered.

Video from other business surveillance systems in the area reportedly captured images of Nangle’s vehicle. Centralia police say they were able to verify Nangle was the person seen in the video. In fact, a hat worn by the subject in the video, matched a hat being worn by Nangle in a photo taken from his Facebook page and posted by followers on the WRXX page.

The break-in was discovered around 8:30 Tuesday morning, with the operators of the GameBlast able to clean up the mess and reopen for business later in the day.

Centralia police arrested Nangle on charges of burglary and felony damage to property. He was booked into the Clinton County Jail around 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, where he awaits the formal filing of charges and the setting of bail.
