JEFFERSON COUNTY — Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested two men in connection with a September 28 burglary in Woodlawn, one of whom is on parole for previous burglary convictions.

Following an investigation into the Woodlawn burglary, deputies arrested 20-year-old Joseph Ashleman, of Dix, and 22-year-old Anthony Dakota Finney, of Mt. Vernon, for alleged burglary. They were taken to the Jefferson County Jail where they await the formal filing of charges and the setting of bail.

While online court records show only a misdemeanor conviction of disorderly conduct for Ashleman, Finney is currently on parole, having been released from the Jacksonville Correction Center in August 2014, after being convicted in 2013 on two felony counts of burglary and one of felony theft in Franklin County.

Finney was already facing petitions to revoke parole on the two burglary convictions, due to allegedly previous violations.
