William “Tex” White

KINMUNDY — William “Tex” White, 62 of Kinmundy, passed away at 11:40 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2015, at his home in Kinmundy.

PrimaryPhoto(7)Tex was born Monday, November 24, 1952 in Effingham, the son of the late Verle White and the late Aleitha (Simmons) White. He married Shirley Maske on November 24, 1976 in rural Kinmundy.

He was employed by Salem Local 634 as a carpenter and millright.  He was a veteran of the United State Army.

Tex is survived by his wife Shirley of Kinmundy; sons, William Trevor White and wife Sara, of Kinmundy, and Travis J. White and fiancee Sara, of Kinmundy; step-son, Andy Stuber and wife Nicole, of Normal; daughter, Heather Yates and husband Chris, of Kinmundy; brothers, Bradley White and wife Loretta, of Kinmundy, and Rickey White and wife Diane, of Kinmundy; sisters, Marlene Cook and husband Melvin, of Kinmundy, and Brenda Elledge of Salem; grand children, Megan and Adam Yates of Kinmundy, and Alyssa and Sydney Stuber of Normal.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home of Kinmundy.  The family will receive friends from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at Neal Funeral Home, Kinmundy. Military rites will be accorded by the Farina and Kinmundy American Legion. A private burial will take place at a later time.
