EAST ST. LOUIS — A 45-year-old woman who drove the getaway car the day her husband robbed a bank in O’Fallon in May 2013 was sentenced to nearly six years in federal prison, Southern Illinois U.S. Attorney Stephen Wigginton’s office announced Tuesday.

Steven Dodson left with $100,000 in cash and met Denise Dodson, who was waiting for him a short distance away from the bank. The two then fled.

Steven Dodson already was charged and convicted in connection with the robbery and was sentenced to 78 months in prison. The Dodsons owe $101,532 in restitution.
