MARION COUNTY — Bail was set Thursday in Marion County Court at $15,000 for 37-year-old Odin man arrested following a one-car accident Wednesday in rural Odin.

Robert Krein has been charged with Class 4 felony aggravated driving under the influence while license suspended or revoked, and second offense of driving while license suspended or revoked, as well as with misdemeanor resisting a peace officer.

According to reports, Krein struck a power pole at Odin and Soper roads around 9:30 Wednesday morning, shearing the pole in half.

He then reportedly fled from the scene, but was later found hiding in the nearby woods.

The intimidation charge reportedly came after Krein saying that when he is released from jail he would go by a sheriff’s deputy’s house.

No injuries were reported.
