MARION COUNTY — It’s back in jail for a 31-year-old man who reportedly was found passed out in a vehicle at the intersection of Perrine and Calumet in Centralia Wednesday.

Michael Lyday was the passenger in a vehicle being driven by 27-year-old Bailey Lyday, who allegedly due to drugs was also passed out in the vehicle causing traffic to backup as students were being dismissed from the high school.

Bailey Lyday was taken from the scene Wednesday to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment before being arrested and transferred to the Marion County Jail for driving under the influence of drugs, improper parking in the roadway and no insurance. Her bail was set at $50,000.

Michael Lyday had just been released from the Marion County Jail on Monday after he was arrested October 23, for a probation violation when was again a passenger in a vehicle in which the driver had fallen unconscious from an alleged heroin overdose.

That vehicle reportedly ran into the ditch along the Walnut Hill Road east of U.S. 51 when the driver became unconscious from an apparent overdose of heroin.

Michael Lyday was again arrested for a probation violation after allegedly admitting the use of heroin on Tuesday night and testing positive for the drug.

His bail was increased by $50,000 and a second petition to revoke his probation was filed. The probation stemmed from a 2012 driving under the influence conviction.
