Semi-truck rolls 50 yards off I-57 and catches fire

PULASKI COUNTY — Late Sunday night a semi-tractor trailer heading northbound on Interstate 57 in Pulaski County rolled and caught fire.

According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, the driver of the semi was taken by ambulance to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is expected to be okay.

It happened just south of the Ullin exit at the 17.5 mile-marker around 10:20 p.m. The truck rolled about 50 yards off of the road.

At around 2:45 a.m. on Monday, the semi caught fire again. Fire crews were dispatched to the area and were expected to be on scene until about 4 a.m.
