Sheriff’s department collecting Halloween costumes for those in need

JEFFERSON COUNTY — With Halloween behind us, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has announced it is collecting Halloween costumes that parents no longer want, or their kids have outgrown.

The department will wash the costumes and donate them next year to kids whose families do not have extra money to buy a costume.

If you have a costume you would like to donate, drop it off at the sheriff’s office located at 911 Casey Avenue in Mt. Vernon.
