MARION COUNTY — Marion County Supervisor of Assessments Patti Brough has announced that assessment changes for the tax year 2015 have been published.

This year’s changes can be found in the November 4th edition of the Shopper’s Weekly.

Assessed values are subject to revision and equalization by the Board of Review and equalization by the Illinois Department of Revenue.

Anyone who considers their assessment to be incorrect may file a complaint in writing with the Marion County Board of Review. Complaint forms are available at Brough’s office in Room 101 of the Marion County Courthouse in Salem. Deadline to file is 4 p.m. December 3.

The 2015 assessments will apply to the tax bills to be collected in 2016. Extra copies of the publication are available at the Shopper’s Weekly at 301 East Broadway in Centralia, or in the Supervisor of Assessments office in the Marion County Courthouse. It can also be accessed online at marionil.devnetwedge.com.
