CENTRALIA — Firefighters with the Centralia Fire Protection District remained on scene for nearly 5 hours Friday night, as they fought a fire at a home in the 600 block of Burge Road.
Crews reported seeing flames coming from the eaves of the home upon their arrival Friday night.
The owner of the home called 911 around 8:15 p.m., reporting he had just arrived home and discovered the fire.
Kell firefighters provided mutual aid at the scene, using their tanker truck to haul water to the scene.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office will be asked to investigate the fire, which caused major damage to the home.
No injuries were reported. Firefighters remained on scene until after 1 a.m. Saturday.
