JOHNSON COUNTY — The Illinois Department of Corrections is actively searching for two offenders who escaped from the Dixon Springs Impact Incarceration Program on Sunday.

According to IDOC spokeswoman Nicole Wilson, staff noticed 25-year-old Jerrette Reed and 20-year-old Kevin Rivera missing at 5:50p.m.

Reed is serving a three year sentence on meth related charges out of Randolph County.

Rivera is serving a five year sentence for the manufacture and delivery of cocaine out of Cook County.

Reed and Rivera were last seen wearing an orange T-Shirt and blue pants with a yellow stripe along the sides.

Though Reed and Rivera are both incarcerated for non-violent crimes, people are advised to use caution and contact 911 immediately if they see them or notice suspicious activity in their communities.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Department is working with IDOC and other local authorities to locate Reed and Rivera and caution they are considered armed and dangerous.
