CENTRALIA — The Centralia Optimists Club is taking a 30-year annual fundraising tradition and sharing it with another, but much newer, local charity organization.
The Optimists Annual Christmas tree lot on North Poplar Street in Centralia will be handed over to the Centralia Helping Hand organization on Saturday and Sunday, with 100-percent of all sales going to the newly formed group, says Optimist and local attorney Mike Reed.
Centralia Helping Hand was recently organized to help Centralia residents with emergency needs.
The tree lot is located in the 1000 block of North Poplar, just north of Tim’s Tire.
