Jeremy Lippert was sentenced to 3-years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after he admitted to violating parole that stemmed from a 2015 conviction for felony possession of a controlled substance.

The original case was filed against Lippert after sheriff’s deputies stopped him in February 2015 while he was walking on Tonti Road west of Route 37.

He was taken into custody on an arrest warrant for failure to appear on a traffic case. When at the jail, deputies found a backpack Lippert was carrying held a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

In November 2015, he pleaded guilty to the Class 4 possession of a controlled substance charge in exchange for the misdemeanor paraphernalia charge being dismissed and was sentenced to the 30 month probation, which he violated.
