Bail set at $5k for Centralia woman charged with slashing man with knife

CENTRALIA — A 20-year-old Centralia woman is in the Marion County Jail after she allegedly used a knife to slash a man living with her across the stomach.

Kellie Whitehouse was arrested for alleged aggravated domestic battery to a 27-year-old man with whom she was living. The man’s injuries reportedly did not require hospital treatment.

According to police, the alleged incident occurred around 3:30 Sunday morning and started as a verbal disagreement and escalated to Whitehouse swinging a knife at the man and slicing his stomach.

She was ultimately charged in Marion County Court Monday with misdemeanor domestic battery. and bail was set at $5,000, or 10 percent cash bond.
