Raymond Z. Brown

flag-clip-art-american-flag-wave-metalSHATTUC — Raymond Z. Brown, 63, of Shattuc died Monday, February 1, 2016. He was born on April 18, 1952 in Salem, the son of Johnnie Howard and Pauline D. (Ritchie) Brown. He married Vickie (Crane) Brown in Salem, on June of 1976 and she survives in Shattuc.

In addition to his wife, survivors include his brothers Donnie Brown of Irvington, Ronnie Brown of Indiana, John Brown and wife picture-pubMonica of Centralia, Mike Brown and wife of Evonnia of Junction City, and Joe Brown and wife Dana of Florida; sisters Madella Mullins and husband Dennis of Junction City, Judy Golden and husband Robert of Centralia, and Pam Weibley of Mt. Vernon; special friends Eugene Allen and family; and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and cousins.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; son Justin Brown; and brother David Brown.

Raymond served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was the owner of Brown’s Heating and Air Conditioning since 1996. He was laid off from World Color Press and took advantage of the Dislocated Workers Program and pursued classes at Rend Lake College for heating and air conditioning. He enjoyed camping, classic cars, caring for his animals, flying his Gyro Planes, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday February 5, at the Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval with Rev. Rick Atchley officiating. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Park with Military Graveside Rites by Centralia American Legion #446 and Centralia VFW #2055.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the funeral service at Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval.
