MARION COUNTY — Marion County Coroner Troy Cannon is reporting that preliminary results of an autopsy on a 62-year-old Shattuc man killed in a gyrocopter crash this week did not reveal any possible medical reasons for the crash.

According to Cannon, the autopsy showed Raymond Brown to be in good health with no sign of a medical condition which might have contributed to the crash.

Brown was killed Monday afternoon when his light gyrocopter aircraft crashed in a field just east of the Centralia Airport.

The FAA and NTSB investigation into the possibility of a mechanical cause of the crash continues.

Cannon says results of toxicology tests might provide information of an undiagnosed medical condition, but those results will not be available for approximately three weeks.

The multi-disciplinary investigation continues. Coroner Cannon and investigators from the FAA are optimistic that the cause of the crash will be ultimately determined.

Funeral services for Raymond Brown are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval.
