MARION COUNTY — A 38-year-old East St. Louis man was released Friday from the Marion County Jail after multiple drug-related felonies against him were dismissed.

Jermaine “Cory” Ingram had been held in the Marion County Jail with bail set at $500,000 since his November 2015 arrest at a Central City home where police executing a search warrant recovered more than 15 grams of black tar heroin, China White 181721116heroin, Crystal ICE methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and cannabis.

They also seized just under $1,000 in cash and 20-30 hypodermic needles, along with other drug paraphernalia.

Judge Mike McHaney signed the search warrant that was executed as a joint effort of Central City, Centralia, and Wamac Police.

Ingram was arrested along with the resident of the home, 52-year-old Michael Mansker Sr., and 36-year-old Darnell “Mane” Williams, of Washington Park.

Bail for each man was set at $500,000. But just days after their arrests bail for Mansker was reduced to a $25,000 personal recognizance bond due to health issues. He passed away a few days later.

Ingram remained in jail facing trial for Class X felony manufacture with the intent to deliver cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church, Class X felony manufacture with the intent to deliver heroin within 1,000 feet of a church and Class 2 felony delivery of less than 5-grams methamphetamine. A February 16 jury trial for Ingram had been confirmed Thursday, but a motion to nolle prosequi, or dismiss was filed Friday, resulting in Ingram being released from jail.

Williams, who was on parole at the time of his arrest, was returned to custody of the Illinois Department of Corrections and is being held in Graham Correctional Center while he awaits trial on on the same felony charges that were dismissed against Ingram on Friday.
