Police continue to seek a second man, 37-year-old Edward Gilbert, of Chicago, on an arrest warrant for First Degree Murder in connection with Feggins death.

According to Jefferson County State’s Attorney Doug Hoffman, he filed First Degree murder charges last week against Gilbert and McDonald for Feggins murder.

Hoffman says the charges allege that on August 8, 2010, Gilbert and McDonald shot and killed Feggins as he rode his bike on Conger Street in Mt. Vernon.

Hoffman’s February 18, announcement about the arrest warrants came just two days after 29-year-old Marventi Palmer pleaded guilty to Second Degree murder in connection with Feggins death.

Palmer, who was already serving a 20-year prison sentence on a drug related conviction, was sentenced last week to an additional 10-year sentence in prison for Feggins’ murder, but that sentence won’t begin until his current drug sentence is completed in 2022.
