MARION COUNTY — A 23-year-old Centralia man is free on $1,500 bond following his Tuesday arrest on multiple drug-related charges.

Jason James has been formally charged in Marion County Court with Class 3 felony possession of less than 5-grams of methamphetamine, two counts Class 4 felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of between 10-30 grams of cannabis.

Centralia police arrested James Tuesday when he was reportedly found passed out behind the wheel of his car in the 1500 block of South Sycamore in Centralia.

According to police reports, officers beat on the window of the vehicle until James finally woke. They report a baggie was hanging out of his pants pocket that allegedly contained meth, heroin, prescription drugs and cannabis.
