MARION COUNTY — A verbal argument Saturday in a Centralia parking lot landed a 42-year-old Centralia man in the Marion County Jail on multiple drug charges.

Robert Roe was formally charged Monday in Marion County Court with Class 3 felony possession of less than 5-grams of methamphetamine, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and less than 2.,5 grams of cannabis. Roe’s bail was set at $15,000.

Police responding to a report of the argument Saturday reportedly first found a cannabis pipe while patting down Roe, who then reportedly admitted to possessing cannabis.

A further search revealed methamphetamine or ice in a pocket of Roe’s sweatshirt.
The woman allegedly involved in the argument reportedly told police the argument was only verbal and she did not want to pursue charges. A search of the woman did not reveal drugs or weapons and she was released.
