SALEM — Two Salem women were arrested Wednesday night, after a disagreement over a social media post led to an alleged physical altercation.

Salem police arrested 33-year-old Annette Lynn, and 36-year-old Essa Watson, after Lynn reportedly confronted her neighbor over a social media comment critical of having to live in the neighborhood.

Watson, who reportedly overheard the argument, joined in the confrontation, and reportedly refused to leave when Lynn asked her to, instead punching Lynn.

Salem police were called to the scene. Lynn was arrested for alleged disorderly conduct and Watson for alleged battery.

Both women were taken to the Marion County Jail, where they each posted $150 bond and were released.
