New Illinois Gun Control Plan Could Impact People On Watch List

SPRINGFIELD, Ill.  —  A group of Illinois lawmakers want to give the State Police the power to revoke someone’s firearm owners’ card or stop a gun sale if they’re on a terror watch list.

The new plan, introduce yesterday, wouldn’t require the State Police to act. It simply gives them the ability to act against anyone on a watch list or who’s been charged with supporting terror or making terrorist threats.
