Christopher Cook pleaded guilty last month to two of 14 felony charges against him related to child pornography. Cook was sentenced today to 20 years on both counts to be served consecutively.

According to the Attorney General’s Office, which handled the investigation and prosecution, Cook will have serve the 40 years consecutively to a 4-year sentence handed down in April in Richland County for Class 2 possession of child pornography.

Cook has remained in the Marion County Jail since his November 2014 arrest, with bail set at $150,000.

The charges against Cook in both Marion and Richland counties came following an investigation by the Illinois Attorney General’s High Tech Crimes Team used subpoenas from an internet provider to track Cook’s IP address after he allegedly downloaded a video featuring child pornography from a known child pornography site.

Another search warrant reportedly revealed more child pornography on Cook’s phone.
