SALEM — The Salem Animal Shelter is asking the public for help. In a public appeal issued Monday, the Shelter says they are in need of kitten food.

If anyone would like to donate a bag that would great. They have a number of kittens right now and no kitten food.

The organization, and others like it in every community, has daily needs in their efforts to help homeless and lost animals.

To find out what some of those needs are at the Salem Shelter and how you can help, you can visit them at 4700 Cartter Rd., in Kell.

Their hours are Mon-Fri 8-3 and Sat 8-12.
