CHICAGO (AP) — Illinois residents looking for new insurance after the failure of Land of Lincoln Health can get face-to-face help in Chicago.

The company’s 49,000 policyholders will see their insurance coverage end Oct. 1. The Illinois Department of Insurance is offering in-person help to these consumers through the end of November. Help will be available on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the lower concourse of the Thompson Center in downtown Chicago.

To make sure there’s no gap in insurance coverage, Land of Lincoln policyholders should report their upcoming loss of insurance to the health insurance marketplace before enrolling in a new plan for coverage starting Oct. 1.

As they shop for a new policy, consumers can see which doctors participate in different health plans and compare prices at HealthCare.gov.
