BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (AP) — A Bloomington woman who is in prison for her son’s death will have an October trial to determine if she will keep custody of a daughter born after she was incarcerated.

An Oct. 25 trial is scheduled on the state’s request to terminate Danielle Bagley and husband Kam Bagley’s custody rights. The child will soon be a year old and has been in a foster home since birth. The (Bloomington) Pantagraph reports the couple was in McLean County Circuit Court on Tuesday for a hearing related to the state’s request.

Danielle Bagley pleaded guilty in December to child endangerment in connection with the death of her 3-year-old son, Robbie Cramer. The boy died after multiple beatings by her then-boyfriend who is serving life in prison for the toddler’s death.
