Kevin D. Sanders

flag-clip-art-american-flag-wave-metalSALEM — Kevin D. Sanders, 59 of Salem, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016 at SSM Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
He was born April 4, 1957 in Centralia, son of Fred Sanders and Angela Gansauer and husband Thomas J. Gansauer of Centralia.

Kevin SandersIn addition to his mother and step-father, he is also survived by two brothers, Jim Sanders and wife Denise of Leesville, La., and Rob Sanders and wife Dawn of Carlyle; a sister, Julie Silvey and husband Jeff of Glen Carbon; a step-sister, Ginger Hayes and husband John of Centralia; five nieces; two nephews; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father; a niece, Acadia Sanders; and a cousin Kati Simmons.

Kevin retired from AT&T. He served in the National Guard for two years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal’s Fan. Kevin was of the Protestant Faith. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, friends and his four-legged companion, Yogi.

Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2016, at the Zion UCC in Central City with Pastor Pamela Smith officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the Zion UCC and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia, which is assisting the family with arrangements.
