MARION COUNTY — A 21-year-old Centralia man has been sentenced in Marion County Court to 2-years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after violating probation on a 2015 felony conviction.

Jarrod Jolliff pleaded guilty in 2015 to Class 4 felony unlawful restraint, in exchange for charges of Class 2 felony aggravated domestic battery involving strangling and misdemeanor domestic battery causing bodily harm being dismissed.

He was sentenced at that time to 100 days in jail with credit for 100 days served and ordered to complete drug and alcohol treatment as well as 30 months probation.

The court filed its firs petition to revoke Jolliff’s probation in March, and again in June when he failed to appear in court. He was arrested on that warrant last week despite giving police a false name during a traffic stop.

Jolliff admitted to the violations listed in the PTR today and was sentenced to 2-years in prison, with 104 days credit for time served in the Marion County Jail. All unpaid fines, fees, and restitution in the case were reinstated.

Per the plea agreement, 2016 misdemeanor charges against Jolliff for resisting arrest, and obstructing identification were dismissed.
