John “Pollock John” Baczewski

BOULDER — John “Pollock John” Baczewski, 63, of Boulder died Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at St. Louis University Hospital.

He was born on October 27, 1952, the son of Louis “Lou” and Helen (Tutka) Baczewski in Collinsville, Ill. On October 3, 1998 he married Carol Flach at St. Lawrence Church in Sandoval and she survives.

picture-pubAdditional survivors include children, Sara Toth and husband Rob, and Joe Tutka and wife Kris, all of Troy, and Kim Tutka and fiance Andy Bruhn of Staunton; grandchildren, Kylie, Riley, Tyler, Cody, Cason; brothers, Stan Baczewski and wife Judy of Collinsville, David Baczewski and wife Cara, of Missouri; sisters, Rose Ann Lingua and husband Charlie of St. Louis, and Mary Kay Tongay and husband Paul of Caseyville.

Mr. Baczewski was preceded in death by both of his parents.

John was a member of the Local 268 in Collinsville, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing golf, and spending time with his friends and family.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2016 at Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval. Following the visitation, a gathering will be held in honor of John at Fat’s where friends and family are all invited to attend.

Per Mr. Baczewski’s final wishes, cremation rites will be accorded following Monday’s visitation.
