MARION COUNTY — Bail has been set at $15,000 for a 23-year-old Centralia man arrested Sunday night during a detail conducted by the Centralia Police Department and the State Police Gang Task Force.

Joseph Clark was formally charged Monday in Marion County Court with Class 4 felonies for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.

Clark was reportedly a passenger in a vehicle stopped at Route 161 and Bell Club Road. He was arrested for alleged possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number, possession of a firearm with no fire owners ID card, unlawful possession of weapons by a felon, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, and unlawful possession of ammunition by a felon.

The driver and a second passenger were arrested for alleged possession of cannabis, but have not been formally charged.

A second traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a 26-year-old Centralia man for alleged possession of ammunition by a felon, illegal transportation of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia.
