(MARION, IL) — The son and daughter of a Williamson County woman found dead following a fire at her home two years ago this week are offering a $10,000 reward for information that will lead to an arrest in their mother’s murder. The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office released that information Tuesday. On Sept. 6, 2014, 53-year-old Lisa Uzzle was found dead following a fire at her home on South McGeesville Road in rural Williamson County. Williamson County State’s Attorney Brandon Zanotti classified her death as a homicide. Investigators believe she may have been murdered before the house was set on fire. Investigators confirm Uzzle died from multiple gunshot wounds that she sustained before the fire happened. Uzzle’s badly burned body was found in the debris. When firefighters arrived only one wall of the home was still standing. The rest of her home was burned to the ground. Williamson County Sheriff Bennie Vick says he encourages anyone who has information about Lisa Uzzle’s case to come forward. Vick says this is still an active investigation and knows there is a person or persons who have information that will help solve this case. Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office at 997-6541.
