(East Alton, IL) — Police in East Alton are investigating a possible child abduction. The department says it received a report of a child getting pulled into a white utility van yesterday afternoon near the intersection of Grand and Murray Streets in Alton. Police say the possible victim is about 13-or-14 years old with short brown hair. The van was described as a white utility van with a sliding door on the side and newspapers covering the windows.
