VALIER — A Saturday night motorcycle crash in Valier resulted in a Thompsonville couple being airlifted to a St. Louis area hospital for treatment of their injuries.

State Police say around 8:40, 50-year-old Brian Wyant was driving his motorcycle east on Park Street Road near Melinda Street when a deer ran into the path of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle struck the deer causing Wyant and his passenger, 46-year-old Holly Wyant, to be thrown off the motorcycle.

The motorcycle sustained major damage and was towed from the scene. The couple sustained major injuries and were airlifted to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. No charges were filed.
