Charles L. Bird pleaded guilty to one of three meth-related charges against him. He was originally charged in August with Class X possession of more than 900 grams of meth, Class 2 felony possession of meth manufacturing material and Class 3 felony possession of less than 5 grams of meth.

The Class X charge was amended to Class X manufacture of between 15-100 grams of meth and he pleaded guilty to the amended charge Tuesday in exchange for the other two charges being dismissed.

Day-for-day good time is available for Bird’s sentence and once released from the department of corrections he will have to serve three years mandatory supervised release. He was also ordered to pay $3,000 in fines, fees, and costs.
