Donna Deloris Hoffmann

SANDOVAL — Donna Deloris Hoffmann, 88, of Sandoval died on September 22, 2016 at Fireside Nursing Home in Centralia.

picture-pubShe was born the daughter of Cecil L. Bell and Mary M. (Becktell) Bell on November 17, 1927 in Lawrence County,ll..  She went on to marry Raymond W. Hoffmann on September 30, 1945 in Sandoval, and he preceded her in death on April 9, 2005.

Survivors include children Jo Ann Spencer and husband Ed of Odin, Linda Lutz and husband Carl of Sandoval, Melissa Schlau and husband Jim of Centralia; grandchildren Eddie Spencer and wife Susan; Karri Jo Kampwerth and husband Keith; Tanya Lutz, Michael Lutz and wife Christy; Justin Hoffmann and wife Melissa; Amy Thompson and husband John; Jeff Hoffmann and wife Kim; and Sarah Hodge and husband Shea; two step-grandchildren Sarah Schlau and significant other Sean Panilawon and Corey Schlau and wife Chloe; 18 great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild due in November; two great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Cruse of Centralia and her daughters, Ruth Ann Quick and Diane Manhart.

Donna was preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband; and son Donald Hoffmann.

Mrs. Hoffmann was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and Altar Sodality. She was the 1st female in Marion County to receive her school bus driver’s license. She was a former member of Sandoval Women’s Club, former 4H leader, and a previous Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star. She was co-owner of Hoffmann Bus Service for 46 years and Donna’s Fabric Shop in Sandoval. She enjoyed quilting, playing quilt bingo with her husband, sewing, and genealogy.

Services for Donna will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2016 at Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval with Father Patrick Peter officiating. Interment will follow at the Sandoval Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday at Day Macz Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sandoval Fire Department, Sandoval Cemetery for land acquisition, or family wishes and will be accepted at the funeral home.
