JEFFERSON COUNTY — Local law enforcement agencies are looking for a 49-year-old Centralia man wanted on a charge of aggravated arson, and they say he should be considered dangerous, homicidal, and suicidal.

John H. Brown was last seen wearing a gray shirt with pocket, light blue jeans and work boots. Law enforcement cautions that if you see Brown  do not approach him, but call 911 or your local authorities.

Sheriff’s reports indicate Brown is allegedly responsible for a late night fire Wednesday that destroyed a two-story home in the 4200 block of Dix-Irvington Road at Krupp Road.

According to the sheriff’s office records, a call was received around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday saying Brown was pouring gasoline inside the home and threatening to set it ablaze.

The occupants of the home ultimately fled, and Brown was last seen exiting out the back of the home and heading into the woods on foot.

Law enforcement has been searching for Brown since last night, and reportedly received a text message shortly after midnight from Brown, who has vowed he will not be taken alive.

The State Fire Marshall has been called in to investigate the fire and Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies were on scene.
