Henshaw explained that Brian Burns contacted a man by phone on September 13 and agreed to pay the man $1,000 to kidnap Henshaw. He said the man Burns contacted was a detective working as an undercover agent.

Burns, who is already facing charges of first degree murder and concealing a homicidal death for shooting to death is estranged wife, burning her body and scattering the ashes, is now facing additional charges of solicitation, conspiracy to commit aggravated kidnapping and attempted aggravated kidnapping.

Bail for Burns has been set at $10 million, or $1 million cash bond.

His wife was reported missing on March 10, and Burns was arrested on March 16.

Henshaw says the two cases will be tried separately and a special prosecutor may be called in for the latest case against Burns.
