Anita Criley

CENTRALIA — Anita Criley, 87, of Centralia passed away Monday, October 3, 2016 at SSM Health St. Marys Hospital in Centralia.

Lutheran CrossShe was born August 7, 1929 near Hoffman, daughter of Rudolph Michael and Esther (Kroeger) Michael. She married Edwin Sprehe in 1955 and he preceded in her in death in 1956. On March 29, 1959 she married Bill D. Criley in Hoffman and he survives in Centralia.

In addition to her husband of 57 years, she is survived by a brother and a sister Ralph Michael and wife Arleen of Hoyleton, and Imogene Koelling of Hoyleton; brother-in-law: David Criley and wife Edith of Centralia; several nieces and nephews, Kurt Michael, Mark and Mike Kellermann, Dennis and James Koelling, Bradley Michael, Lisa Quick, Tina Michael, Kathy Kellermann, Ron and Gary Criley, Fred M. Ellis and Sharlyn Muench and family friend, Deloris Kellermann.

obit-picture-anita-crileyShe was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Dwight Michael, a sister Melba Kellermann; her first husband Edwin Sprehe; four brothers-in-law, Eugene Kellermann, Roger Koelling, Robert Criley, and Fred Ellis; two sisters-in-law, Betty Criley and Elaine Ellis; and two nephews, Kevin and Grant Kellermann.

Anita was employed at the Hollywood Candy Factory, and 30 years at Wee Walker Shoe Factory in Carlyle. She loved her nieces and nephews very much. She was a member and a Ladies Aid for Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman. She was baptized, confirmed and married at the church.

Funeral Services for Anita Criley will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 7, 2016, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman with Pastor Stephen Krenz officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2016, at the church and from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Friday at the church.

Memorial donations may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia, which is assisting the Criley Family with arrangements.
